Designed for people with unaidable hearing loss in one ear, this rechargeable transmitter captures sound on the poorer-hearing side and sends it wirelessly to a compatible Audéo™ EON R hearing aid worn on the better-hearing side.

Hear sounds from your poorer-hearing side

A passenger speaking beside you, a colleague approaching your desk or a friend joining the conversation—sound can come from any direction.

CROS EON R is worn on the ear with unaidable hearing loss. Its microphones pick up sound and transmit it to the Audéo EON R hearing aid on your better-hearing ear, helping you access conversations coming from your poorer-hearing side.

The system routes sound to the ear that can use it. It does not restore hearing in the unaidable ear.

A system personalized for you

Your hearing care professional evaluates the hearing in both ears to determine whether a CROS or BiCROS fitting is appropriate.

  • A CROS fitting routes sound to a better-hearing ear that does not require hearing-loss amplification.

  • A BiCROS fitting routes sound while also providing amplification for hearing loss in the better-hearing ear.

  • Earpiece selection, sound balance and programming are tailored to your needs.

CROS EON R is a transmitter, not a standalone hearing aid. A compatible Audéo EON R hearing aid is required to complete the system.

Adjust the balance between sides

CROS Balance lets you adjust the relative loudness of sound arriving from the transmitter side and the hearing aid side.

Your provider can explain the available controls and help you find a comfortable balance for your everyday listening situations.

Hearing support through Audéo EON R

The paired Audéo EON R hearing aid provides the system’s hearing-aid sound processing.

Available automatic programs and listening features depend on whether your system uses an E30-R, E50-R, E70-R or E90-R hearing aid. Your hearing care professional can recommend a technology level based on your hearing needs and daily routine.

The CROS EON R transmitter does not have separate E30, E50, E70 or E90 technology levels.

Calls, music and connected entertainment

The paired Audéo EON R hearing aid provides connectivity for compatible phones and other audio devices.

  • Bluetooth® supports calls and audio streaming from compatible devices.

  • Auracast™ broadcast audio provides access to compatible shared broadcasts where available.

  • Compatible Phonak accessories offer additional listening options through the paired hearing aid.

Your provider can help check compatibility and set up your system. Accessories are available separately unless included in your selected package.

Rechargeable convenience

Make charging part of your daily routine without handling disposable batteries. CROS EON R offers up to 20 hours of battery life, depending on use.

  • Compatible with Phonak Charger RIC E.

  • Compatible with Phonak ChargerGo RIC I E, which includes an integrated battery for portable charging.

Actual runtime varies with use, activated features and battery condition. The transmitter’s battery rating differs from the rating of the paired Audéo EON R hearing aid. Charger inclusion depends on your selected package.

Comfortable everyday wear

The compact behind-the-ear transmitter is fitted with an earpiece selected for comfort and secure placement.

Your hearing care professional will show you how to insert, remove, charge and care for both devices. Follow-up appointments provide an opportunity to refine comfort, sound balance and everyday operation.

Compatibility

Phonak CROS EON R works with Audéo EON R hearing aids and is not compatible with Audéo EON Sphere.

A compatible Audéo EON R hearing aid is required and must be included in your selected package or purchased separately.
